Lydia Brosnahan got her first passport before she was a year old, and visited France for the first time at the age of 11 months. During her next visit, in 2003, she fell in love with France and began studying the French language intensively. In 2008 she earned the highest score (5) in the French Advanced Placement exam, and graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School at the top of her class. In addition to French and English, she speaks Portuguese, having spent her junior year of high school in Lisbon, Portugal; and Spanish, having studied it in high school. She spent the summer after graduation as an aerial performer with Circus Smirkus, Vermont's international youth circus. (She had performed with Smirkus in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 as well.) During her gap year between high school and college she joins Travel Info Exchange, Inc. as a writer and photographer for ParisTravelPlanner.com. In addition to travel, languages and circus arts, Lydia enjoys Morris and rapper dancing, playing clarinet, piano and recorder. In September 2009 she plans to attend Macalester College in St Paul, Minnesota.
