Paris Travel Planner   Île Saint-Louis, Paris, France
Small, tranquil, charming, and right in the city center—Paris's Île Saint-Louis is a must for a stroll.

The small Île Saint-Louis (map) in the middle of the River Seine, in the middle of Paris, is among the French capital's most charming neighborhoods.

Much more tranquil than the neighboring Île de la Cité, the Île Saint-Louis is a place to stroll, sip something in a café, browse the interesting shop windows, linger over dinner in a fine old-fashioned restaurant, and most certainly to visit Berthillon, Paris's most renowned glacier (ice cream maker).

On your way to the Île Saint-Louis, cross the Pont Saint-Louis (St-Louis Bridge) from the Île de la Cité in order to enjoy street performers and musicians who set up temporary shop on this pedestrian way.
