Paris Travel Planner   Place Saint-Michel, Paris, France
The throbbing heart of the Left Bank and Latin Quarter is the place to be, whether you're a student or just paying the bills for one.

Place Saint-Michel (map), just south of the Seine and the Île de la Cité, is the bustling heart of Paris's Latin Quarter and the hub of the Left Bank.

The grand fountain, with its statues, is one of Paris's most well-defined meeting-places. If you have to meet someone and don't know where to do it, just say "at the fountain in Place Saint-Michel," and you'll get together.

Place Saint-Michel has both a Métro station (St-Michel) and an RER station (St-Michel Notre Dame), making it easy to reach.
