The Gare de Lyon is among Paris's busiest train stations because it serves TGV and conventional trains from France's major southern cities, as well as from Switzerland.

Trains from southern and southeastern France (Nice, Marseilles, Lyon), and from Geneva, Switzerland, arrive at Paris's Gare de Lyon in the southeastern part of the city, across the Seine from the Gare d'Austerlitz (map).

The Gare de Lyon station has all services, including several good restaurants right in view of the train platforms.

Métro lines 7 and 14, and RER Line A, stop at the Gare de Lyon.
