SNCF trains from Tours serve the Gare SNCF in Amboise, located on the north bank of the River Loire across the river from the château and the main part of the town (map).

Regional buses also connect Amboise with nearby towns, and a scheduled van connects Amboise with the château town of Chenonceaux once or twice daily in summer. The Office de Tourisme has details.
